Will you be OK, Ki?

Ki

I will have to be! Yes. What an atrocity! They’re all gone, all our friends and families ...

Yes, this is an abomination!

We need to remember! We need to keep our friends and families in our memories. We need to keep them alive in our hearts, in the history we’ll rebuild. We owe it to them. We’ll build monuments to remember them. Their lives and dreams need to be told. We’ll make them live in our rituals.

Ki

Yes! You’re right; we must do that.

I need you, Ki! I need you to help me recreate the world stolen from us. We need to inspire the survivors, to give them hope, a purpose.

Can I count on you to help me?

Ki

You can count on me, Ré. You know that I’ll always follow you.

I knew I could count on you. You’re the greatest! My most precious.

Ki

Thanks, Ré. Thanks for being there.

We’ll govern the new world together. We’ll be the beacon that guides the survivors. You will be on all the screens. The people will follow your voice — they will follow us. They will be our subjects.

And your husband, if he’s alive, will know that you’re alive too. Everyone will see you.

Ki

I want this so much, Ré! I want him so much to be here with me!

You need to believe, Ki! But now we have great responsibilities. We must bring all the survivors behind our vision of the future, of a new world!
