Mi, tell me: what’s the purpose of all this? All those we loved have vanished. We’re fighting for people we don’t know. We will have to fight a war against the Talo. But why? To continue this circus of lies and killing for a bunch of idiots!
Bo, these people that we don’t know are people like you and me, like those we loved. We’re alive; that must count for something!
All those survivors I met in the countryside, they’re the same as our friends and families. I love them, and they deserve that we care. They deserve to be happy! You and I too!
Let’s give ourselves a chance to rebuild our lives, our families.
My family is gone, Mi. None of those strangers will replace them.
Our friends and family will never disappear from our memories. They made us who we are. They’ll always be alive in us. They loved us; they would want us to be happy. I’m sure that today, this is their greatest desire!
It does not make me happy to continue this circus, to fight the Taloans, to tell all those people: let’s work to rebuild but be wary, tomorrow bombs will fall again and destroy everything we built. To form new bonds with people I will lose again. This is not worth it, is it?
Bo, maybe the war is really over. Since we sent the resin to Talo, nothing has happened. Maybe Ben was right, maybe they understood that the war is over. We must believe it!
