Ki, tell us where we are with the campaign for the launch of the V5030.
Everything is ready. We will focus primarily on the environmental performance of the new system. Our surveys show that decision-makers are mostly concerned with regulatory pressures, more so than with operational performance.
That’s disappointing. The V5030 will increase productivity by 50 percent. It’s the only system that integrates the management of class B systems, and it allows monitoring at the millisecond level.
What worries me is that we did not use the Z-test to validate that it meets the environmental targets we claim it does. The peak analyses cannot overcome the coupling effect. In fact, there are great risks that the V5030 may perform under the current industry benchmark.
It would be wiser to promote the operational performance we are certain of and to claim that, according to peak analyses, it’s likely to provide better environmental performance than the current systems.
This is not what our clients are looking for! They will not change their systems now for these benefits. They’ll wait for a product that meets their new environmental objectives.
Rightly so, we need to conduct the Z-test. We have the expertise to do it. In three months, we will know if the V5030 meets our expectations.
Yes, but the risk is high that it won’t. We know that the coupling effect quenches peak analyses.
We need to launch the V5030 now. We cannot sabotage ourselves. In light of our current results, we are the best. Within two years, we will have captured a third of the market with this product. Afterward, it’ll be too late.

Regulations are based on peak analyses, so clients won’t have any recourse against us. Z-tests are not a requirement at the moment.

On the contrary, our team is the most advanced with Z-test technologies. We can establish norms and take leadership in those analyses. If our results are not what we claim, we will soon be ready with the second generation of catalysts. We can rapidly make the upgrades required.

This brings me to our last item on the agenda: our leadership responsibilities.
I want to bring up this very important topic for our management team. I want to talk about our duty to be models of unity and cohesion. We need to have complete trust in each other and in my leadership. We need to stay united as a strong team that speaks with one voice. I, however, note that we have some work to do. I try hard to communicate clearly and consistently my vision for our organization. I love you as my children! I give you the best I have to give. I coach you to become leaders like me — leaders who will make our organization a model of success. But I feel I don’t have the trust of you all, and it deeply saddens me. Every night I ask myself what more I can do. And last week, I had an idea. What we need is a team-building experience. An experience that will build our solidarity, help us realize that we need to work together to succeed, to survive! So, with Bo, I have planned an adventure of canoe and camping on the Golfe River. It’ll be a fantastic opportunity to connect with one another and learn to depend on each other.
But the Golfe River is deep in the jungle. It’s all wilderness there. There are no cities or villages.
Exactly! This is to understand how vulnerable we are, how we need to depend on each other. But please don’t worry, Flo. Bo has canoed this river a dozen times. We can count on his experience. He will also need us, and that’s the goal of this adventure: knowing we need each other.
